"Words saved me" is a documentary on the life of chicano poet Tino Villanueva. It chronicles his life from a migrant farmworker half a century ago, passes through the transformative days of the Chicano Movement and onto the present day, where the American Book Award winning poet is a college professor. Villanueva, discuss a variety of themes that reoccur in the poet’s work. They span a gamut from the discrimination and segregation he experienced growing up and following the crops with his family and his difficulties getting into college to the importance of personal history, memory and writing.
A través de la poética de Tino Villanueva, asistimos a diferentes etapas de su vida; desde su dificil infancia como campesino migrante, hasta su etapa como poeta y profesor universitario.

Este corto experimental en torno a la dramática situación de los indígenas rebeldes en Chiapas, pretende ser un homenaje a quienes a pesar del hambre, la represión y el racismo extendido durante más de 500 años, han buscado refugio en la dignidad y en las armas, para poder sobrevivir “la conciencia”.
This short experimental documentary casts a spotlight on the increasingly precarious situation facing Mayan Indian members of the Zapatista rebel army. Years after taking up arms against the Mexican government, they are surviving a war of attrition with tens of thousand army soldiers, who have them surrounded in isolated high-mountain refuges of southern Mexico’s Chiapas state.
